iPhone 6S

As we expected, the iPhone 6S looks identical to last year’s 4.7-inch iPhone 6, reserving its most important alterations for the hardware interior.

Apple’s emphasis on hardware upgrades over design development follows the pattern that the Cupertino-based company has long established: significant changes come in the even years and incremental updates in the odd.

Series 7000 Aluminium

Each model is made with the same aluminium as the Apple Watch, called Series 7000 Aluminium, which is designed to be more durable (and hopefully prevent a repeat of Bendgate!)
There’s good news for anyone who has smashed a phone screen. Schiller talked up the iPhone 6S glass being “the strongest in the industry, made with a dual ion exchange process.”, though the company hasn’t confirmed if this is cover material from Corning’s Gorilla Glass line or not.

The next-generation of multi-touch is here, and it’s indeed called 3D Touch, confirming all of the rumors in the lead up to this week’s Apple press conference. It’s like a “right click” for the iPhone 6S, and it results in a context sensitive pop-up window in front of translucent backgrounds every time you when you press and hold the screen.

Camera

A 12-megapixel camera is a huge jump for Apple, which has been holding onto its 8-megapixel sensors in its iPhone for years. Videos are shot in 4K, with 8 million pixels via the rear camera. The front-facing camera will now be 5MP, and a TrueTone flash is simulated thanks to the Retina display that lights up the screen three times brighter than normal. This “Retina Flash” is ideal for lighting up darkened selfie environments.

The 5-megapixel front-facing camera now brings the iPhone 6S on par with a lot of today’s competing handsets. Both new iPhones are have the same focus pixels-filled sensor, but only the bigger iPhone 6S Plus has optical image stabilization for photos and video again.

A new feature; Live Photos are automatically turned on for the iSight camera, capturing 1.5 seconds before and 1.5 second after you press the shutter button., basically, images that move. It’s an automatic thing; all you have to do is take the picture like normal.

Touch ID

There’s also a second-generation Touch ID fingerprint sensor that’s up to two times faster.

A9X Processor

The iPhone 6S specs include the all-new A9 processor with with embedded M9 motion coprocessor that collects health and fitness data to help the A9 run more efficiently and concentrate on other tasks. It delivers performance once found only in desktop computers. You’ll experience up to 70 percent faster than the iPhone 6, and the GPU sees on 90% performance boost for all your favorite graphics-intensive games and apps. It’s not as speedy as the iPad Pro A9X chip, but it’ll be plenty fast for a new phone.

Just like the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, the new models are available in 16GB, 64GB and 128GB configurations. Connectivity has been improved too. There’s now LTE Advanced and faster WiFi.

Battery life

Like the iPhone 6S price and the overall look, there’s no difference in the “all-day” battery life for the new 4.7-inch phone, according to Apple at least. It has the same 14 hours of talk time and 11 hours of continuous HD video playback.

New Feature of the iPhone 6S:

3D Touch
Faster Touch ID
Rose Gold Model
12MP Main Camera
5MP Selfie Camera
Live Photos
Faster A9 Processor
7000 Series Aluminium
Stronger Phone Screen Glass

I like how apple upgrades their phone, it’s all about specs upgrade interior rather than the total outside appearance. I would certainly buy an iphone with better specs than an iphone that looks better but performs slow. Right now, we have iphone 7 and 7 plus, they are still a little expensive though but as always apple did a great upgrade from 6 to 7. I just don’t get the paet of removing the audio jack, do you know the reason behind that?
